If a Phase I Environmental Property Assessment indicates a potential for the presence of contamination below the surface of a property, a Phase II Subsurface Investigation is conducted to determine whether these recognized conditions have affected the soil and/or groundwater of the property.
The Phase II will identify the source and potentially delineate the extent of contamination prior to conducting a strategy for remediation. Appropriate soil borings and groundwater samples may be taken in accordance with federal, state and local regulatory agency specifications in an effort to fully evaluate the site and determine the need for additional work or whether no further action is necessary.
